Abu Dhabi [UAE], Sep 19 (ANI): Putting up a sensational performance, Indian bowlers bowled out the Pakistan side for a score of 162 in their second Asia Cup match on Wednesday.
Opting to bat first, the Pakistani batsman could not give a solid start to their side as Indian pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar sent back their opening batsmen Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman for meager scores of 2 and 0, respectively.
Shoaib Malik, along with Babar Azam, built a useful 82-run partnership to support the crumbling batting order of Pakistan, but the same did not last long as Malik returned back to the pavilion after a brilliant direct hit by Ambati Raydu.
None of the other Pakistani batsmen could stand firm on the pitch to keep the scoreboard ticking.
For India, pacer Bhuveneshwar Kumar and spinner Kedar Jadhav scalped three wickets each for the team.
While Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets, Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket with an economy rate of 4.62.
One of the main highlights of the first innings was a sensational catch by Manish Pandey, who caught an absolute stunner on the boundary off Kedar Jadhav's ball to send Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed back to the pavilion.
Pandey was called on the field as a substitute for Hardik Pandya, who sustained a lower back injury while bowling the fifth over of his spell. (ANI)
