New Delhi, Apr 5 (PTI) FMCG major Nestle India Friday said it has adopted a village in Haryana, where it would help the residents towards building a healthier society.
Nestle India, in collaboration with S M Sehgal Foundation, launched Project Vriddhi by adopting village of Rohira in Nuh district of Haryana ahead of the World Health Day, a statement said.
The three-year project will adopt an integrated approach focusing on various aspects of rural well-being, which includes improving delivery of public services related to health, education and sanitation, water conservation and improving farm livelihoods, it added.
Nestle India Chairman and Managing Director Suresh Narayanan said: "We focus on programmes which are relevant nationally and resonate with our global objective. Nestle India is building a healthier society with initiatives which positively impact the lives of over 5 million beneficiaries across India."
