Pradeep Khanna, a local resident said that the district is now not only religious tourist place but also has become a patriotic tourism place.
"In 1965 during India- Pakistan war, this was the place from where our soldiers faced the firing by the Pakistani Army the whole night. That time, only a stone was installed and was named as war memorial. With the passage of time, some renovations were done by the army officials and now Poonch, that is a religious tourist place, has now become patriotic tourism place,” he said. (ANI)
