Justin Bieber revealed on his Instagram that he is suffering from Lyme disease.  The singer who just released his first single of 2020, Yummy, revealed how he has been having a "couple of years". He started off his revelation post saying how he is not on meth, what many people speculated to be the case. He said, "While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like shit, on meth etc. they failed to realize I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease". He continued to add, "not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health."

Justin Bieber is planning to release a docu-series that will contain his journey battling the disease. He said, "These things will be explained further in a docu-series I'm putting on YouTube shortly. you can learn all that I've been battling and OVERCOMING!! What Is Lyme Disease?

Lyme disease is a rare infectious disease caused primarily by a bacterium spread by ticks. Also known as Lyme borreliosis, the disease may have life-long effects. Caused by Borrelia bacterium that is spread by ticks that are small arachnids not very rare to find. While often their bites are harmless, but sometimes they may have massive outcomes. Lyme disease occurs in three stages based on the severity of the disease.

Lyme Disease Symptoms

The most common and evident symptom of Lyme disease is the bull's eye pattern rash. The infected person can see an expanding rash on their skin. Also known as erythema migrans, the rash appears at the site of the tick bite about a week after one has been bitten by a tick. Here are the common symptoms of Lyme disease:

  • Flu-like symptoms including severe headache or neck stiffness
  • The bull's eye pattern rash and rashes in other areas of the body as well
  • Sometimes the health condition is accompanied by arthritis. Severe joint pain and swelling in the knees are common
  • Loss of muscle tone.
  • Irregular heartbeats and palpitations
  • Brain and spinal cord inflammation
  • Shooting pains

Lyme disease usually occurs in three stages: early localized, early disseminated and late disseminated. However, that may not be the case with every patient. Many cases of Lyme disease are treated successfully with a few weeks of an antibiotics course.
