RM has not announced his plans to join the military, but he is expected to the mandatory military service by the end of September 2024.
According to Big Hit Music, BTS's rapper and singer Kim Namjoon aka RM would be appointed as the ambassador for the Ministry Of National Defense’s Excavation Team.
