Bijapur (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 22 (ANI): A District Reserve Guard constable was injured after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Naxals blasted in Bijapur district on Friday, an official statement said.
Inspector General of Police Bastar P Sundarraj said that the constable is under treatment in the district hospital.
"While returning from an operation, on 22.09.2023 around 11 am-12 pm, DRG jawan Sannu Hemla received injuries on his hands, and eyes due to the IED blast planted by Naxals in the forest of Gadamali village. He has also suffered stomach injuries and has been brought to Bijapur district hospital for treatment," an official statement said.

Earlier two women Naxalites were killed in an exchange of fire with District Reserve Guards (DRG) in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on Wednesday. (ANI)
