Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 18 (ANI): 104 Indian Defense Force personnel, comprising 84 Army personnel and 20 Navy personnel, have successfully completed a 15-day Hatha Yoga Instructor Training program at the Isha Yoga Center here, said officials. 

These special yoga classes for soldiers, a joint initiative by the Southern Regional Command of the Indian Army and the Isha Yoga Center, were launched on Independence Day, August 15th. The program aimed to provide free yoga training to approximately 10,000 soldiers across various locations.

The 15-day Hatha Yoga instructor class took place from September 1st to September 15th at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, with 84 soldiers from the Southern Regional Division of the Army and 20 naval personnel participating.

They received training in Surya Kriya, Angamardhana, and Upa Yoga practices and were prepared to teach yoga to their fellow soldiers within their units. These yogic exercises help soldiers better cope with the challenges and pressures they encounter during their duties, said officials. (ANI)
