Kohima, Jul 6 (PTI) Nagaland for the ninth consecutive day on Tuesday recorded more COVID-19 recoveries than fresh infections as 113 people were cured of the disease while 60 new cases pushed the tally to 25,619, a health official said.

Four new COVID-19 deaths pushed the death toll in the state to 503, he said.

Kohima reported 17 new cases followed by Dimapur (11), Phek (8), Mokokchung (6), Wokha (5), 3 cases each in Kiphire and Mon, 2 cases each in Peren, Tuensang and Zunheboto and Longleng (1), said State Nodal Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, Dr Nyanthung Kikon in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.

He also said that 113 COVID-19 positive patients Kohima (46), Dimapur (27), Tuensang (17), Mokokchung (14), Zunheboto (4), 2 each in Peren and Wokha and Longleng (1) recovered during the day, taking the total number of recovered patients to 23,271.

The COVID-19 recovery rate in the state now is 90.83 per cent, Kikon said.

Nagaland currently has 1,134 active COVID-19 cases, while 711 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other states, he said.

So far, a total of 2,33,157 samples have been tested for COVID-19. It includes 98,597 on RT-PCR, 62,769 on TrueNat, and 71,791 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Kikon said.

Meanwhile, State Immunisation Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr said a total of 4,77,494 people have been inoculated in the state so far, of which 71,964 people have received both doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
