New Delhi, Jul 10 (PTI) As many as 22 CMDs and functional Directors from various CPSEs are participating in a two-day orientation programme being organised by SJVN, aimed at capacity building and fostering collaboration among government entities.

The two-day programme, which began on Thursday in Dharamshala, focuses on a wide range of topics relevant to the leadership and operational excellence of CPSEs, SJVN said in a statement.

Twenty-two CMDs and functional directors from various CPSEs are participating in the Orientation Programme on 'Capacity Building of CMDs and Functional Directors of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)', being organised in collaboration with the Department of Public Enterprises, it added.

The programme will include a range of topics like board effectiveness and role of functional directors, arbitration in CPSEs and strategic management for board level functionaries.

Other areas are improving effectiveness of audit functions in CPSE, integrated governance and risk oversight, strategic role of functional directors and CMDs in CPSEs, and transformative board leadership.

In his address, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, highlighted the crucial role of leadership in driving performance and transformation in public sector enterprises.

He emphasised the importance of continuous learning and strategic thinking in today's dynamic economic and governance landscape.
