Mumbai, Aug 20 (PTI) Unseeded Janina Singh and Akansha Salunkhe reached the semi-finals of the U-19 and womens categories, respectively, in the Otters Club Open Squash Tournament here today.

Janina shocked second seed Abhilasha Bhasin, dropping just seven points on her way to a 11-3, 11-0, 11-4 quarter- final victory.

In another match, third seed Tanaya Parakh defeated Sparshi Mattas in five games to reach the semis.

In the women's category, unseeded Akanksha stunned third seed Anna Avasthi comfortably to make the last four.

Top seed Urvashi Joshi and second seed Sachika Balwani also entered the semis with little trouble.
