Laal Singh Chaddha is the upcoming movie starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Sethupathi and Mona Singh in the lead. This film is the remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump that featured Tom Hanks in the lead. The shooting of Laal Singh Chaddha had started in October last year in Chandigarh and a few pics from the sets had also leaked online. The first scheduled was wrapped up in November and the second schedule had started in Kolkata in December. The second portion of the same schedule were also reportedly shot in some parts of Kerala and also in Jaisalmer. The third schedule of the film was shot in Goa and by January 2020, the team headed to Himachal Pradesh and wrapped it up by February. The makers of Laal Singh Chaddha have shot in numerous locations in India, but the shooting had to be suspended, owing to the coronavirus outbreak. All shootings were halted temporarily since mid-March. And now, as per a report in TOI, the makers of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer are planning to head to Georgia and Turkey to complete the shooting of the film and release it as per the set schedule, during the time of Christmas this year. The source was quoted as saying, “Advait Chandan (director) and Aamir waited it out for quite some time, but it’s more than four months now since coronavirus invaded and the number of cases is still spiking. How long can you go on waiting for a big canvas film like Laal Singh Chaddha? So, they have planned for Georgia and Turkey.” However, there has been no official announcement on it yet. The report also mentions that only 30 to 35 percent of the shoot is pending to be shot. Laal Singh Chaddha, produced under the banners of Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions, is scheduled to be released in December 2020.
