"Dear Youth of India, Modi & Shah have destroyed your future. They can’t face your anger over the lack of jobs & damage they’ve done to the economy. The Congress leader was apparently attacking the Modi government over the Citizenship Amendment Act. CAA Protests: 'Those Born Before 1987 or Whose Parents Are Born Before 1987 Are Indians', Says Government.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi hit out at the Modi government for the crackdown on those peacefully protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act. "This government has no right to shut down colleges, telephones & the Internet, to halt metro trains and to impose #Section 144 to suppress India's voice & prevent peaceful protests. To do so is an insult to India's soul," he had tweeted.

Rahul Gandhi had also urged the anti-CAA protesters to take up "non-violent Satyagraha" to anti-Citizenship Act and anti-NRC protesters. "The CAB & NRC are weapons of mass polarisation unleashed by fascists on India. The best defence against these dirty weapons is peaceful, non-violent Satyagraha," the former Congress president wrote on Twitter on Monday.
