Humans can sometimes behave ridiculously in the presence of animals. In one such incident, an unidentified woman crossed over the barrier of a lion enclosure in Bronx zoo at New York. A shocking video has been going viral on the internet which shows the woman standing very near to the lion in its enclosure and teasing the wild animal. Fortunately, the lion did not attack her and she was safe. However, netizens are not impressed with her stunt and called it a stupid idea. Lions Maul Trainer at Ukrainian Circus as Audience Scream; Terrifying Video From 2010 Goes Viral.

A video of the woman teasing the lion was shared on Instagram and is going viral. The woman not only just crossed over the wooden barriers but also teased the lion by waving and dancing just metres away from it. The lion stared intently at her, and could've even mauled her to death. In between the woman and the lion is a large concrete moat but a furious lion would easily jump that and attack. The incident has left some netizens in utter disbelief, most of them talking about the dangerous consequences of her actions.

The Bronx Zoo admitted to NBC News, "This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero-tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers." It is unclear if there is any serious legal action taken against the woman.

This ridiculous behaviour also reminds us of another viral video wherein guests threw stones at a Panda in Chinese zoo to wake up the sleeping animal. The incident which took place in China's Beijing Zoo had enraged netizens at the kind of attitude of these visitors.

Back in February, there were reports of 'Human vs Beast Challenge' undertaken in UK zoo which let visitors play tug of war with the wild beasts. Animals like lion and tiger were in a game of tug of war with children as young as 8. Meant to be a welfare technique, it wasn't received well with many people.
