IND 58/4 at Stumps (Target 193) | India vs England 3rd Test 2025 Day 4 Highlights: Lord's Test Evenly Poised After Brydon Carse Leads England's Late Fightback

STUMPS on Day 4! What a day it has been with 14 wickets falling! Ben Stokes castled Akash Deep to ensure that England had the momentum going into the final day as India attempt to chase down 193 to win. Earlier on Day 4, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep and Washington Sundar combined to bowl England out for 192 in their second innings. Washington Sundar was the surprise package, taking four wickets while Jasprit Bumrah (2/38) and Mohammed Siraj (2/31) two wickets apiece. Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/20) and Akash Deep (1/30) were among the wickets as well. For England, Joe Root was once again the top-scorer, this time with 40. Chasing 193, India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck, with Jofra Archer claiming the wicket once again and later, a short 36-run stand between KL Rahul and Karun Nair seemed to steady India's innings. However, Brydon Carse (2/11) struck twice, dismissing Karun Nair (14) and Shubman Gill (6) before Ben Stokes struck to remove Akash Deep (1). India still need 135 more runs to win while England require six wickets. While a result is assured now, fans can expect much more excitement on Day 5 of the IND vs ENG Lord's Test! 

OUT!  A massive wicket for Brydon Carse and England with Shubman Gill being the batter to be dismissed! The right-hander was struck in front of the stumps and he opted for the DRS after being given out on the field. The review showed three reds and India are three down now. OUT! Karun Nair has to depart and it is yet another low score from the right-hander. He did not offer a shot and the ball struck him on his pads. KL Rahul and Karun Nair have joined forces at the crease and both the batters will look to form a partnership here. India will want to gain some momentum through these two batters while England eye wickets. 

OUT! England needed an early wicket and Jofra Archer has provided them with one! It is Yashasvi Jaiswal who attempted to hit a big shot but all he did was miscue his shot, with Jamie Smith taking a good catch. Jofra Archer has gotten the better of his Rajasthan Royals teammate for the second time in the Lord's test and England will start to believe that a couple of more wickets can bring them back in the match. OUT! Washington Sundar is turning it on here! The right-arm spinner has scalped the big wicket of Ben Stokes with the left-hander totally missing the ball which crashed into the stumps. TEA on Day 4! It has been a fascinating session with India having an edge thanks to Washington Sundar, who struck twice, removing Joe Root and Jamie Smith. Ben Stokes (27*) and Chris Woakes (8*) are at the crease and they will look to add as many runs as possible while India hunt for four more wickets. The partnership between Joe Root and Ben Stokes has lifted England and the two veterans will look to extend this partnership here. India on the other hand, will aim at a couple of more wickets in this session, especially that of Joe Root, who scored a century in the first innings. Meanwhile, Akash Deep has left the field with a potential injury.

Welcome back to the second session. Joe Root and Ben Stokes will continue proceedings for England. Meanwhile, India will look to dominate the post-lunch session. The pitch is helping bowlers, and the visitors will aim to hit at right areas to make things happen. For England, the Joe Root and Ben Stokes partnership will be key for them to put a challenging total.

LUNCH on Day 4! It has been a fascinating session, one full of intensity and excitement! The drama from Day 3 carried over to the fourth day with the Indian bowlers making life difficult for the England batters. Mohammed Siraj struck early, removing Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope. Nitish Kumar Reddy got Zak Crawley's wicket for the second time in this match and Akash Deep had the last laugh against Harry Brook after being hit for 15 runs in one over by the no 1 ranked Test batter. The pitch has had uneven bounce and England have a 98-run lead. The remainder of the day promises to be a fascinating one as well!

The no 1 ranked Test batter launched a counter-attack, hitting a series of boundaries but this time, he perished in an attempt to be cheeky. Harry Brook is not stepping aside here as he is launching a counter-attack in the match. England have been under pressure with the loss of three wickets but Harry Brook made his intentions pretty clear by hitting Akash Deep for 15 runs in one over.
