Toxic foam floats on the surface of River Yamuna in Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj area on November 07. These foams are formed due to the increased pollution level in the national capital. Foams are smelly and hazardous to health. River Yamuna gets polluted due to major turns in the pollution level of Delhi, every year. A local said, “These foams are getting formed due to excessive pollution. Water is also dirty. We cannot drink this water. This water can’t be used for even taking a bath. The water is very dirty. Drainage water is released in Yamuna, polluting it with chemicals.”
