Mumbai, Aug 23 (PTI) Actor Konkona Sen Sharma says she hopes that people will relate and appreciate her project "Chashma".
The screening of the short film "Chashma" was held on August 22 in Mumbai and was attended by many celebrities such as Sidharth Malhotra, Reema Kagti, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor and Aryan Khan and Konkona.
Directed by Nitin Baid, who has also been an editor for films like "Gully Boy" and "Masaan", the film's screenplay is by Varun Grover. It is produced by Gubbara Entertainment.
Chashma" follows the story of an 11-year-old boy Supriyo, a boy with a poor vision who faces a challenging incident as school. Following, the film navigates through his journey towards self-acceptance and freedom.

"I think 'Chashma' is a very sensitive film. It is told through these three kids. I hope that the people who watch this film will appreciate the nuances, the subtleties of the power dynamics between children," Konkona said in a press release.
Baid, who makes his directorial debut with the short film, said he channelled his personal connection through the project.
"I am embarking on a new project with 'Chashma' being my very first film as a director. I wanted to capture the emotions of boyhood and the coming of age in a nation like India. To be able to channel my personal connection with the theme of the film and now to see it on the big screen before me, is a surreal experience," he added.
Dimpy Agrawal, Founder and Producer at Gubbara Entertainment said it was amazing to collaborate with such an all-star team.
It also stars Ayan Khan, Kabeer Shah, Shafeen Patel, Shishir Sharma and Vijay Shrivastava in pivotal roles.
