Lucknow, August 1: A portion of the service road of the Agra-Lucknow Expressway caved in amid continuous heavy rains on Wednesday morning. According to reports, an SUV carrying four passengers fell into a trough created by the service lane cave-in.

According to reports, the road cave-in created a 50-feet trough on the expressway that was inaugurated in 2016. While the passengers in the car have been rescued, the car has suffered damages.

Reports say that the car was coming from Mumbai and going to Kannauj. The accident happened near Agra.

Meanwhile, in Lucknow, classrooms of a government school near Chief Minister's House were waterlogged following heavy rainfall in the city. Students said, "School was closed for past few days because of severe water logging in the entire building. Classes were resumed today after situation improved."
