Jaipur, October 18: Amid the Zika Virus outbreak in Rajasthan, 324 health teams deployed in affected wards of Jaipur's Shastri Nagar. According to a tweet by ANI, nearly 11,135 houses have been surveyed out of which 1,509 found positive for mosquito breeding. During the house to house survey conducted by a special team, 353 fever patients were identified.

On Thursday, the number of people infected with Zika virus rose to 106 in Rajasthan. Of the total affected people, 25 are pregnant women, said a Union Health Ministry official. Reports inform that nearly 67 blood and urine samples have been collected which include samples of 55 pregnant females of the 1st trimester and 12 fever patients and 2 contacts. According to a PTI report, almost all Zika virus-infected patients are healthy now after treatment. Three-fourth patients do not have symptoms of the disease and have recovered. Reports inform that intense fogging and other anti-larvae activities are being carried out in the areas from where cases have been reported.
