It is International Girl Child day today. It is celebrated every year on the 11th of October to help bring out issues faced by the girls all across the world. A girl, unfortunately, goes through a lot in her entire life that is caused by the society and the world she lives in. A lot of girls sadly, are subject to incidences of sexual assault, unfair treatment, gender disparity, trafficking and lack of opportunity for education and jobs. Both women from the urban and rural setting go through various issues that aren't even reported half the time. Out of how much soever little that has been done to help or share the pain of such girls, not everything has helped, many even lost their lives like Nirbhaya Rape Case in India. However, that being said, we cannot disagree that there haven't been responses on such issues from everywhere. Be it from the artists or leaders; they have responded or helped generate awareness about the ill-treatment towards women.
