Karthik thanked Ashwin, who finished the game in the cool manner to help India clinch a famous win over traditional rivals Pakistan in a thrilling encounter. The Men in Blue arrived in Sydney to face the Netherlands in their second match of the tournament.
Dinesh Karthik was heard saying, "Thank you for saving me" to Ravichandran Ashwin for the latter's cool and calm finish in the India vs Pakistan, T20 World Cup 2022 clash last Sunday, October 26. Karthik was dismissed in an attempt to score the winning runs for India in a tense final over against Pakistan after which Ashwin came out and finished the game calmly. With a cool head, Ashwin saw out a wide delivery bowled by Mohammad Nawaz and struck the winning runs in the next delivery to seal a famous victory for the Men in Blue. Team India arrived in Sydney a day ago for their second group game against the Netherlands.
