Kulgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 7 (ANI): Security forces launched a joint operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, officials said on Tuesday.

The operation was jointly launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police on the intervening night of May 6-7.

"On specific intelligence input regarding the presence of terrorists, a Joint operation was launched by #Indian Army & @JmuKmrPolice on the intervening night of 06-07 May in general area Redwani Payeen, Kulgam, resulting in an intense firefight," said the Chinar Corps in a post on X.
