In view of the upcoming assembly by-poll, as many as six check posts have been set up in national and state highways and other roads passing through Ramgarh for "checking of illegal flow of cash, arms, ammunition, liquor and other things that can influence the by-election", Hussain, also Ramgarh sub-divisional officer, said.
The process of filing nomination is underway and will conclude on February 7.
The Ramgarh by-poll will be held on February 27 and the counting of votes will be on March 2.
Unaccounted cash of Rs 1 lakh was earlier recovered from senior AJSU party leader Roshanlal Chaudhary's car in a check post on the Ramgarh-Bokaro highway.
