And adding to the increasing buzz is the countless number of spoilers and fan theories that are doing the rounds on the internet. And while hopes and expectations from this season as a whole are high, the trailer that dropped today sort of disappointed us.

Watch the trailer below:

The trailer disappointed us in a way that there was not much ‘new’ content that we expected to see. This trailer of GoT 8 only gave us glimpses of how all the parties are joining hands and warming up for the much dreaded fight with the Army of the Dead.

In the trailer, we can see Arya talking about how ‘Death has many faces’ and how she is ‘excited to see this one’. We get a glimpse of Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow enter Winterfell with their humongous army and how Jamie Lannister reveals that he will fight the impending war against the Army of the Dead, as he states ‘I promised to fight for the living and I intend to keep that promise’. The White Walker army is also described as an army that doesn’t tire, doesn’t stop and doesn’t feel. Game of Thrones Season 8: HBO Releases a Brand New Footage of the Show Which Will Leave You in ‘Shock’ – Watch Video

We felt that the entire trailer was bits and pieces of what we already knew was to come, pieced together. But the one chilling scene that gave us goose bumps was the last one, where we see the Army of the Dead set foot in Winterfell, while the city stays alert in its defense.

The trailer was full of instances where we got to see every character in the show band up together to fight impending doom in their own way. What we did not get to see was a proper glimpse of The Night King and the now evil dragon Viserion, who stole the show in the last season. What are your views on the trailer? Do let us know.
