Taran Taran (Punjab) [India], July 10 (ANI): Acting on a tip-off through intelligence regarding the presence of a drone with narcotics in the border area of district Taran Taran, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police on Wednesday conducted an extensive search operation in the suspected area and recovered 566 grams of suspected heroin.
According to officials, the search operation began around 11:15 in the morning, where BSF troops successfully recovered and neutralized a drone along with one packet of suspected heroin from the area adjacent to the village- Kalash in district Taran Taran.

The narcotics were wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape and a cotton thread improvised loop along with an illuminating stick was also found attached to the packet, the packet weighed around 566 grams, said BSF.
The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic.

Reliable information and effective action of BSF coupled with coordinated efforts with Punjab Police made yet another seizure of an illicit drone with narcotics sent from across the border.
There had been many more instances where the Punjab Police and BSF had recovered foreign-made drones from border districts of Punjab.
Earlier this week Border Security Forces recovered a Pakistani drone and a packet of heroin in two separate search operations in Punjab.
The recovered drone was identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic, the BSF said. (ANI)
