The 2026 celebrations at Kartavya Path featured a grand display of military technology and cultural heritage. European Union leaders Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa attended as chief guests, marking a significant milestone in India-EU diplomatic relations. The parade’s central theme, "150 Years of Vande Mataram," was showcased through various tableaux and performances. Earlier, the Prime Minister visited the National War Memorial to pay tribute to fallen heroes before joining President Droupadi Murmu for the ceremonial march past.
