Wild safaris can be thrilling, more so when people get to see epic fights between animals. People who recently went to Africa's Masai Mara got to see a terrifying battle of survival between a python snake and a leopard. In Africa's Masai Mara national park, a photographer named Mike Welton managed to capture a scary encounter between a python snake and a leopard. Both are dangerous in their own strengths and can you guess who won? The wild cat managed to overpower the serpent and just when the python was to make an attack, the leopard apparently smashed the skull of the snake. Terrifying pictures of this wild fight have been shared on social media and they are mind-blowing! The incident took place last month and few people on safari were able to capture the fight live! Photographer Mike Welton who got some stunning captures from the epic fight said they were scared and almost thought the snake would win. He was quoted to Daily Mail, "We all had a moment thinking about how terrible it was that we were watching a beautiful leopard get killed. Python constriction is horrible and it was sickening to imagine death from that. The leopard wrestled out and was able to claw, then bite the head of the snake." Leopard Attacks West Bengal Man Who Tried Clicking Its Picture Thinking It's Asleep, Watch Video.

The pictures define the intensity for survival in both the predator and the prey, who could've switched their places! The leopard took a chance and managed to overpower this dangerous snake, and even bit off its head. Welton even mentioned that they heard a crunching sound, which he believes was the leopard biting the skull of the python. "It was a huge shock when we spotted it, we were very concerned when the action stopped and the python seemed to be winning. The leopard wrestled out and was able to claw, then bite the head of the snake," he said.

Pythons are not venomous snakes but they are known to constrict their prey and strangulate them until they run out of breath. At any point, the snake could have proved a danger on the wild cat too.
