Jaya Prada Faces Six Month Jail Sentence in Unpaid ESI Scandal - Reports
Jayaprada used to run a movie theater in Rayapeta, Chennai in collaboration with Ram Kumar and Raja Babu from Chennai. The theatre had to be eventually closed down because of zero income.

As per reports, Jaya Prada, actress and former Member of Parliament (MP), has been sentenced to six-month imprisonment for not paying Employees' State Insurance (ESI) fund share, despite collecting money from the workers of the ‘Jayaprada’ Theatre Complex. A fine of Rs 5,000 has also been imposed. The case was filed by Government Labor Insurance Corporation.
