Journalist Siddique Kappan Leaves UP Jail After 28 Months, Thanks Media For Support

On February 2, Siddique Kappan, a journalist from Kerala was released from jail in Uttar Pradesh. Kappan was arrested in Uttar Pradesh more than two years ago. The journalist was arrested when he was reporting on the alleged rape of a girl whose death led to protests in the country. After coming out, Kappan thanked the media for the support.
