It is World Hindi Day today. The Indian nationals and origins living across the country will host the special occasion promoting the greatness of the official language of India. Individuals every year observes the World Hindi Day on January 10. The Union Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) hosts many special programs to promote the language Hindi through its missions abroad. Educational schools will also hold special programs highlighting the importance and significance of Hindi. However, the aim behind the observance of World Hindi Day 2019 is to promote the language at the global stage. Countries Other Than India Which Have a Huge Hindi Speaking Population. 

The official celebration of World Hindi Day began on January 10, 2006, by former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Ever since then, the day is celebrated organising massive events across the world every year. The first World Hindi Conference was held in Nagpur on January 10, 1975, in order to promote the language globally. Is World Hindi Day and Hindi Diwas Same?

It shall be noted that the World Hindi Day and Hindi Diwas are different observing on different dates. The National Hindi Divas is celebrated on September 14, the time when the constitution of India declared the language written in Devanagari Script as an official language in 1949. On the other hand, the World Hindi Day promotes the language on the global level, spreading the significance and immensity of Hindi, globally.

It is an interesting fact that Hindi is the fourth most spoken language of the world. The language is the mother tongue of over 250 million people around the globe. The Indian Embassy in Norway first celebrated World Hindi Day, followed by the second and third which was observed under the chairmanship of writer Suresh Chandra Shukla under the Indian Norwegian Information and Cultural Forum.
