Voting season is just around the corner and it is our duty as citizens of India to cast our vote. The politicians are also urging citizens to not miss the voting day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle and send out messages to top Bollywood stars. He requested them to appeal to their fans to make sure they vote. The stars that the PM reached out to included Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone. Interestingly, these three actors won't be casting a vote themselves. As per reports, Akshay Kumar holds a Canadian passport. Since, India doesn't allow dual citizenships, we wonder how he'd appeal his fans to do that. Though, at a press conference, Akshay said that his Candian citizenship is 'honorary' and he still holds an Indian passport. Alia Bhatt and her mother, Soni Razdan, hold a British passport. Deepika Padukone grew up in Bangalore. But as per a report by DNA, the actress was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and doesn't hold Indian citizenship. But she recently got married to Ranveer Singh, so by relation, she might have earned it now, we suppose.

Whether they can vote or not is upto the legalities of our constitution, but PM's move of getting them to appeal for votes is a masterstroke for sure!
