The India national cricket team was playing against the Australia national cricket team in the 1st Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at Perth. While Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana made their Test debut in the match, it was a special moment for Yashasvi Jaiswal also who was playing in his first Border-Gavaskar Trophy series – considered one of the premium Test series in cricket.
