In Japan, a man was arrested on Saturday for killing his colleague while playing a prank. The two men who worked at an industrial manufacturing plant in Ibaraki Tsukuba City in Japan were simply having fun when one decided to prank another. Yoshiyuki Yoshida took an air compressor and placed the nozzle between Akio Ishimaru's buttocks just for fun. He then blasted wind into his colleague's body.
The incident happened around 5 pm on July 13. Ishimaru said he felt uneasy after the incident and a colleague quickly called emergency services. He was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, however, could not survive the prank. Yoshida confessed to the incident and is now faces charges of assault resulting in death. Asia Times quoted Yoshida as telling the police, "I just did it as a prank. I didn’t think he could possibly die from that."
According to a spokesman at the Ryugasaki Police Department, "It was a tragic accident but not the first of its kind. The air compressor was pushed up against the anus, over clothing, not directly into the cavity, and the release of the air into the body probably damaged the lungs, causing death. We are waiting for the results of an autopsy, which is still being scheduled."
This is not the first time someone died from air blasted into their buttocks. In an industrial waste disposal factory in December 2017, one accidentally killed another with an anal blast. In January, 2018, a 28-year-old student also died after his friend used an air-duster gun in his buttocks.
