During an interview, Aamir said that he doesn't think he is a star. Okay, that might sound shocking but hear him out and you might just end up agreeing with him.
Aamir said, "I don't think I am a star. I don't feel or dress (up) like a star. My managers insist at times that I must dress up on occasions or on festivals like Diwali. So I listen to them. Otherwise I am comfortable in my three fourth or jeans,"‘Thugs of Hindostan’ Star Aamir Khan Says, He Never Felt Competitive With Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan.
The actor further spoke that he thinks his contemporary Shah Rukh Khan is someone who qualifies as a star. "Star is someone who is very organized with his wardrobe and his accessories. In that sense or in that department Shah Rukh Khan is remarkable. He is always well dressed. All his accessories, shoes, belts and his clothes are in place. I hve seen his wardrobe," he said, and joked, Uska poora wardrobe itna bada hai jitna ki mera ghar. Ise bolte hain star," he joked."
Aamir also spoke about how he asked Shah Rukh to hear the script of the Rakesh Sharma biopic. He said he was happy that the actor agreed to do the film. Aamir also revealed that he went to SRK to get an advise on how to smoke cigarettes near Amitabh Bachchan.
