You remember Karni Sena, right? The right-wing fringe outfit got themselves quite the attention, when they held violent protests against the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. The period film, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, attracted the ire of the outfit, as it felt that it hurt the sentiments of the Rajput community. This was their view, even before they saw the film. Now they have a new Bollywood personality as the target of their new attention-seeking hatred - Priyanka Chopra.

The National award-winning actress has got a lot of flak for starring in a controversial episode of Quantico that showed Hindi nationalists as terrorists. The episode, The Blood of Romeo, showed how these 'terrorists' planned to nuke Manhattan and put the blame on Pakistan. This has not gone down well with some Indian viewers who raised a hue and cry over how Hindu community is shown in a poor light. Priyanka Chopra also got hate for agreeing to be part of this 'fiasco'.

Now as per a report in Times Now, Karni Sena has joined this hatred against the actress. Suraj Pal Amu, the chief of Karni Sena who had led the protests against Padmaavat in Haryana, has called the actress 'anti-national' for showing Hindus in poor light. Perhaps he forgot the protests against Padmaavat, including throwing stones on a school bus filled with children, also showed the community in a poor light.

Priyanka Chopra had earlier apologised to her fans on Twitter for the episode. She had tweeted, "I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I'm a proud Indian and that will never change." Looks like her apology doesn't matter to the fringe elements.
